Activision makes right
After Activision/RedOctane's heavily publicized mono sound screw-up with the Wii version of Guitar Hero, they tried to make things right with free replacement disks. Unfortunately, that left owners of the game (read: me) sans-game for about 2 months while they processed the exchange. By the time I got the game back, my interest in it had waned and it was a chore to set it up to play it again. My cat was understandably wary of the contents of this box, and decided to guard the inside of a gym bag. In order to change the faceplate I had to glance at the instructions. First you have to remove the neck of the guitar by unlocking this lock deal:
Unlock the lock deal. Then there's a terrifying warning of some sort in the neck hole. I found this was the best place to pull the faceplate off. Remember the lock deal has to be in the unlock position.
Bad touch Slapping on the new face plate was easy, and it looked a lot better than the generic supermarket brand-looking white one the guitar came with. Maybe they were going for the "
Not too shabby All in all, it was a decent gesture. And since I find Smash Bros. plays like a life sized whale made of jello in a mud-wrestling competition I'll have to give Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock another go around. Even though my skill level has plateaued at "Jonas" on hard. :( « Back to main |
